S.S. Electricals was established in the year of 1981, by two Electrical engineers, Sheetal Shah and Harihar Shedbalkar, with an objective to provide services to Government Electrical Departments across western Maharashtra.
Notable customers of S.S. Electricals are State PWD, MSRTC, All India Radio, and Central PWD.
S.S. Electricals has worked for government buildings like Courts (Satara Court), Colleges (Miraj Government Polytechnic, Kolhapur Rajaram College), and Auditoriums (Ratnagiri and Tasgaon auditoriums).
S.S. Electricals also carried out electrification work of Aklai Mandir and newly constructed Shiv-Srushti at Akluj in Solapur district.

An Electrical Engineer from Walchand College of Engg, Sangli, Shri Shah acquired practical experience from Electric Supply and Consultancy firms in Miraj-Sangli. Apart from being ‘A’ class registered contactor with CPWD, PWD, AIR, etc, since 1983, Shri Shah has been playing active role in social circle in and around Sangli district. Shri Shah is member of various associations promoting Chess, and was the organizer of Commonwealth and International Chess Tournament in Sangli. He has been associated with several NGO’s in the district and has received appreciation awards for outstanding social service. Shri Shah is also member of the District Committee of Electrical Energy for Govt of Maharashtra.

A Diploma Electrical Engineer from 1969 batch, Shri Shedbalkar gained industrial experience from renowned manufacturing companies. He worked with Indian Hume Pipe Company as a Maintenance Engineer, with Miraj Glass Factory as Electrical Supervisor, and with Miraj Electric Consultancy and Services as In-charge Electrical Engineer. With this practical experience in electrical field, Shri shedbalkar joined Shri Shah to form S.S. Electricals in 1981.
